“We will carry the Republic of Türkiye to a much brighter future”

In a message he issued on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, President Erdoğan said: “By closing ranks around our common values, we as the 86 million will achieve our goal of the Century of Türkiye and carry the Republic of Türkiye, our heavenly dome, to a much brighter future.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.

President Erdoğan said:

“Today, we are celebrating the 103rd foundation anniversary of our Republic with great pride and enthusiasm. I congratulate our august nation, our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters, and all our citizens living abroad on the 29 October Republic Day. I extend my most sincere gratitude to our esteemed guests sharing our joy and enthusiasm in our foreign missions. I also embrace with affection all our friends as well as our brothers and sisters, whose hearts beat with our nation, who get happy and sad together with us, and with whom we share common fate and feelings, in the different parts of our kindred and cultural geography.

Our Republic is the strongest sign of the independence will, the determination to live free and the resolution to shape its own future of the Turkish nation, whose history is full of glorious victories and struggles. Our National Struggle, which we put up under the leadership of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal with great sacrifices, showed the entire world what a nation, which closed ranks in unity and solidarity, could accomplish even under the most challenging conditions. This great success, achieved in impossibilities, not only changed the fate of a nation, but also imprinted on history the power of national will and the indispensability of living independently. The resolution, courage and determination we as a nation displayed 103 years ago continue to be our strongest source of motivation today as well.

“OUR COUNTRY ADVANCES WITH FIRM STEPS TOWARDS A STRONGER FUTURE”

We regard the progress we have made in a wide range of areas, from defense industry and energy to transportation and diplomacy, over the past 24 years as the milestones on the path to an influential and prosperous Türkiye. Our country, which develops its own technology, increases its means and capabilities in the area of defense, strengthens its energy supply security, renews its transportation infrastructure in line with the necessities of the era and constantly expands its production capacity, advances with firm steps towards a stronger future.

In a trying period, when wars, conflicts and crises are taking place in our vicinity and the different parts of the world, we as Türkiye not only preserve our stability, but also assume responsibility for the solution of disagreements. With the maxim of, ‘Peace in the world, peace in the region and peace at home’, we will determinedly continue to endeavor for peace and justice from now on as well. By closing ranks around our common values, we as the 86 million will achieve our goal of the Century of Türkiye and carry the Republic of Türkiye, our heavenly dome, to a much brighter future.

I would like to state with great happiness that praise be to Allah, today Türkiye is stronger than yesterday, and will inshallah be much stronger, much more reputable and much more efficient in all areas tomorrow. The Turkish nation will inshallah put its seal on the era we are in. May my Lord clear our path and brighten our future as the nation. On this occasion, I remember with grace Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, his comrades-in-arms, the heroes of our National Struggle and our august martyrs, who sacrificed themselves for our homeland, and extend my gratitude to our ghazis.
