First Lady Erdoğan meets with Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak of the UAE

First Lady Emine Erdoğan met with Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak of the United Arab Emirates, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Family Development Foundation, in Istanbul.

Warmly welcoming the visit of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, First Lady Erdoğan described her as a pioneering global model of women's leadership and community and humanitarian work.

First Lady Erdogan said that this is an important opportunity to explore ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the social and humanitarian fields, empowerment of women and support for children and families, and to share expertise and successful experiences in these areas.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak expressed her happiness to visit the Republic of Türkiye and emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak underlined that this visit comes within the framework of the UAE's desire to consolidate its strategic relations with the Republic of Türkiye and develop these relations towards broader horizons of partnership and constructive cooperation, especially in social, cultural and scientific fields, which will serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak said that through this visit, they look forward to sharing successful experiences between the two countries in areas that serve communities and promote sustainable development.
