President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended a ceremony held for the opening of Mukhtars’ House in Ankara and the groundbreaking of 100 mukhtars’ offices.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan drew attention to the global economic crisis, which he noted had been shaking the whole world, and said: “It seems that the repercussions of the food and energy problem will be graver in the developed countries with the winter coming. While all of them are crying how they will deal with the natural gas problem, thanks be to Allah we have no such problem. We are relatively much more comfortable thanks to the timely agreements we have made and the steps we have taken.”
“As Türkiye we are endeavoring to overcome this crisis with the least damage possible, what is more to turn it into an opportunity for a huge leap forward for both our country and nation,” the President further stressed, and added: “Mr. Putin made a statement. What did he say? He said they would make Türkiye a distribution center for natural gas, which means Europe will receive natural gas from us. This does not just happen out of the blue. It happens through the diplomacy between us. Despite the war and instabilities in our region, we see the indications of this in many areas. The wheels of the economy continue to turn, and our exports maintain their increase, breaking a record each passing month. We have reached the greatest number of our history in employment with 31 million jobs. We are having a productive and fruitful season this year in agriculture. We are way beyond compensating for the losses of the pandemic. The hotel occupancy rates are as good as summer even in these months.”
