Underscoring that Turkey has successfully passed another democracy test, President Erdoğan expressed his gratitude to all the friendly and brother countries’ presidents who either called him or sent messages on the results of the elections. President Erdoğan said that the Turkish nation did their part by exercising their democratic rights and charted a direction for the country, adding: “It is now time to leave the debates, tensions and resentments occurred during the election campaign behind and focus on our country’s future. We will continue to consolidate our determination to improve rights and freedoms and our commitment to democracy in accordance with the message our people reaffirmed in the elections.”
