H.E. Abdullah Gül’s Message on the Easter Festival

"I wholeheartedly celebrate the Easter Festival of all our Christian citizens and the Christian world.

The Easter Festival brings together once again all our Christian citizens from all denominations and traditions with their staunch feeling of solidarity.

As a matter of fact, the members of the three Abrahamic religions have celebrated their festivals with great elation and enthusiasm for hundreds of years in Anatolia. I hope that this Easter Festival also contributes to tolerance, amity and mutual affection and respect,all of which are among of our august nation’s most important characteristics.

In this vein, I once again celebrate the Easter Festival of our Christian citizens, an integrated part of our nation, the Christian tourists who are enjoying the Easter Festival in our country and the whole of the Christian world and I extend my good will to them all."
