"Mister President,
I am very pleased to host Your Excellency, as well as the esteemed members of your delegation in Turkey.
As we pointed out during today's fruitful meetings, I strongly believe that your historical visit will open a new chapter in our bilateral relations, and will further strengthen our cooperation and friendship.
Costa Rica, with its strong democracy; stable and growing economy and highly qualified productive power constitutes a very important center of attraction in Central America.
In this regard, we sincerely wish to develop our bilateral ties in every field. I am convinced that further steps can be taken to intensify, especially, our economic and trade relations.
We should also encourage the conclusion of bilateral agreements that will constitute the legal infrastructure of our partnership and cooperation.
In the context of Turkey's outreach policy, we continue our efforts to further improve and diversify our political, economic and cultural interaction with all the Latin American and Caribbean countries.
I believe that Turkey's increasing partnership and cooperation with Costa Rica represents an important asset in the realization of this endeavor.
Mister President,
It is an honor for me to host in Turkey an esteemed statesman and Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
I would like to stress that we highly appreciate your service to Costa Rica and your sincere efforts to promote peace and stability in Central America.
It is obvious that the worldwide verbal agreement on the need for peace should be converted into action in order to prevent armed clashes.
International cooperation should be reinforced to facilitate the establishment of an atmosphere of peace and security, thereby boosting development and prosperity all around the globe.
Turkey, with its principle of "peace at home, peace in the world," has always made it a priority to pursue an active policy to settle through peaceful methods the emerging crises and conflicts both in its own region and in other places around the world.
As United Nations Security Council members, I am convinced that Turkey and Costa Rica contribute both to the peace, stability and security in their region and at the global level.
Mister President,
With the pleasure of reconfirming the very bright future of the relations between our countries, I wish health and happiness to Your Excellency.
I raise my glass for the continuation of the strong friendship between Turkey and Costa Rica and for the well-being of the Costa Rican people."
