President Gül's Message On Christmas Day

"Our Christian citizens and the whole Christian world is celebrating the Christmas season from today. I therefore send my warmest greetings to all our Christian citizens and wish them all peace, joy and success.
This Anatolian soil, where mosques, churches and synagogues have existed side by side, which has embraced many different beliefs over the centuries, has brought together people from different cultures and religions in the spirit of friendship, fraternity and unity.
All our citizens are equal and honourable individuals of our nation that has always upheld such values as peace, tolerance, mutual respect and understanding even during the harshest times of history. They have shared every fate, every right and duty and every blessing and hardship.
I, too, participate in the brotherhood and joy that the Christmas feast brings to our citizens whatever their Christian denomination, and once again wish them happiness, peace, well-being and success."
