

The “Education Enables” campaign, carried out by the Beyazay Association, is a social responsibility project of 3 years’ duration under the patronage of the First Lady, Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül, embracing disabled people across the country.
The campaign aims to provide educational institutions with the necessary equipment and facilities to help those with disabilities to continue their education at those institutions. It also aims to raise public awareness that disabled people can be active and useful in every segment of society.
The campaign has been operating with the formal cooperation between the ministries concerned and the Beyazay Association of Turkey, with an agreement signed on February 10, 2009.

The We are Retired and Volunteers Project, under the aegis of the First Lady, is a social responsibility project through which retired teachers provide voluntary help to those in need according to the needs determined by child protection centers and hostels within the body of the Social Services and Child Protection Agency (SHÇEK).
The project was launched in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Presidency, General Directorate of SHÇEK and National Education Ministry and is conducted by Governorates.
The project aims at bringing together teachers, who are respected representatives of our public and who want to play an active role in social life during their retirement years, with our young people in need of protection.
The project is expected to expand into the whole country and is already being conducted in the pilot regions of Ankara, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Konya, Sakarya and Samsun.


The project, of which the First Lady, Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül is patroness, aims to raise public awareness of the advantages and joys of reading and to encourage children and the young especially to acquire reading as a habit.


Stop Diabetes! Campaign is a nationwide social responsibility project under the Turkish Presidency’s aegis and that will be conducted by the Turkish Diabetes Foundation. The project aims at creating awareness about diabetes and demonstrating the ways to avoid this illness throughout one’s life. It also aims to give people life-long education about healthy living, enhance people’s knowledge about diabetes, establish a good nutritional habits, make exercise a part of life and decrease the burden on the national economy rising from the possible treatment expenses.
Through this project which is expected to be implemented in different regions of the country in the next three years, people will be well aware of diabetes.

The 81 Stars from 81 Provinces Project is a social responsibility project under the aegis of First Lady Hayrünissa Gül carried out in coordination with the Provincial Directorates for National Education.
According to this project, 81 ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students who are successful in their classes and/or in any branches of sport and who are in need of financial help have been selected by the governors to receive support to continue their education.
Among the objectives of this project are raising social awareness about education, producing role models to show what education can bring, drawing attention to sport which is one of the fundamentals in raising healthy generations and – bearing in mind the importance of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day – encouraging the young to be interested in sports with the support of their parents.


The BT Classrooms Project was launched under the aegis of the First Lady, Hayrünnisa Gül, to help provide schools across the country with information technology classrooms.
The project aims to enable students to use information technologies and keep abreast of recent developments in the world, that they might one day lead these developments themselves.
As part of this project, Hakkari and Van have been provided with 5 classrooms each; furthermore, 5 classrooms in Diyarbakır, 3 classrooms in Batman , 2 classrooms in Şanlıurfa and 2 classrooms in Mardin have been opened.
