Gül: Turkey Will Show No Tolerance to Terrorism

Delivering a speech at the World Consumer Goods Forum, President Gül, responding to the query from the press as to the terrorist attack on the military outpost in the southeastern county of Dağlıca yesterday, accentuated that the citizens in the region should keep their distance from terrorists and terrorism and said the terrorist assault yesterday was not coincidental at all and declared that the state will never show tolerance to terrorism, stressing that peace, stability and security in the four corners of the country will be established. 

President Abdullah Gül after delivering a speech at the World Consumer Goods Forum in Istanbul  responded to the query from the press as to the terrorist attack on the military outpost in the southeastern county of Dağlıca yesterday. 

President Gül underscored that no one can reach their aims by resorting to violence and terrorism. If some think otherwise, he declared, they are all wrong as the state will never ever succumb to terrorism. “There are affirmative developments toward the resolution of the problems in the region indeed which can be addressed through dialogue. The Kurdish issue is altogether different from terrorism. Terrorists have always been used by some who are against the stability and peace of the country. By doing so, these people mention their so-called ideals. Our citizens in the region therefore must keep their distance from such people and terrorism. The terrorist assault yesterday was not coincidental at all and declared that the state will never show tolerance to terrorism, stressing that peace, stability and security in the four corners of the country will be established. I hereby remember all our martyrs with gratitude and extend my condolences to their families in grief. May they rest in peace!”
