President Abdullah Gül paid an official visit to Kenya between February 20 and 22 at the invitation of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.
Mr. Gül had a tête-à-tête meeting with Mr. Kibaki in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi. Following the meetings between delegations, the two countries signed deals to cooperate in civilian aviation and health issues and visa exemption for public officials.
Mr. Gül stopped at Nairobi National Park before he met with Prime Minister Raila Odinga to attend the Business Forum. Following the forum, Mr. Gül visited the Ömeriye Foundation schools.
Gül is the first Turkish president to pay an official visit to Kenya.
