President Abdullah Gül paid a visit to Azerbaijan between November 13 and 14 to attend the Energy Summit held in Baku.
Mr. Gül met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the Presidential Palace in Baku. As part of his programme in Azerbaijan, Mr. Gül received the US Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman at the Turkish Embassy, and then attended a dinner hosted by Mr. Aliyev at the Presidential Palace, in honour of the visiting heads of state and government.
On the second day of his visit, Mr. Gül held bilateral talks with the Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili. Then Mr. Gül opened a new annex for the Baku Anatolian High School.
Mr. Gül attended the Energy Summit held in Baku and delivered the keynote address on peace and energy policies in the Caucasus.
